Role Overview

PFASuiki is developing innovative electrochemical technologies to permanently destroy PFAS - the so-called “forever chemicals”. As a Working Student / Intern in our R&D team, you will directly contribute to our PFAS destruction mission and gain hands-on experience at the intersection of electrochemistry, catalysis, materials science and engineering. You will work alongside our scientists and engineers on real experiments, material characterization, data analysis and the continuous improvement of our laboratory workflows. Tasks • Plan, perform and analyze electrochemical experiments for PFAS destruction • Support lab-scale testing and experimental activities of the R&D team • Plan and perform characterization of electrode and other relevant materials • Prepare samples for different analytical methods • Analyze experimental data and support the development of databases and data analysis tools • Help develop and implement standardized experimental procedures and test protocols • Identify opportunities to improve experimental and laboratory workflows • Work closely with our electrochemistry, materials and simulation experts to improve experimental methods and R&D capabilities • Follow laboratory safety requirements, operating instructions and SOPs, and proactively report potential hazards Requirements • Currently enrolled in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Process Engineering or a related scientific/engineering field • Strong interest in experimental R&D, electrochemistry and environmental technologies • Hands-on mindset and enthusiasm for laboratory work • Structured, reliable and independent way of working • Strong analytical skills and interest in experimental data analysis • Willingness to learn new experimental and analytical methods • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team • Good English communication skills • Previous laboratory or electrochemistry experience is a plus • Experience with data analysis or programming (e.g. Python) is a plus Benefits • Direct contribution to solving one of today’s major environmental challenges • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge electrochemical PFAS destruction technology • Work closely with experienced scientists and engineers in an interdisciplinary R&D team • High level of responsibility and the opportunity to contribute your own ideas • Gain practical experience across electrochemistry, materials science, analytics and data analysis • Dynamic startup environment with short decision paths and significant opportunities to learn Want to use science and engineering to help eliminate “forever chemicals”?
